Contact assemblies

These are complete assemblies present in connectors. They are available in varieties like welded, brazed, and riveted. The base metals also vary from copper, brass to phosphor bronze. Brazed assemblies follow different processes for resistance brazing, furnace brazing, and flame brazing. There are different variations available for riveted assemblies.


It refers to a small rounded pin or bolt that holds two metal plates together. They get categorised as solid and bimetal rivets. The former offers superior electrical performance. Hence, it gets manufactured in a wide range of sizes and alloys. The accompanying heads are either flat, radial, conical, or customised.
