The open world of Diablo 4 (opens in new tab) has not been revealed in detail by Blizzard
D2R Items. Game director Joe Shely and Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson discussed what players can anticipate when returning to the Sanctuary world in a brand-new interview with IGN (opens in a new tab).
"One of the issues with making 'open' an enormous neon sign and flashing it is that individuals think, 'Goodness, it's absolutely regular and I can be anyplace and accomplish anything and, over the long haul, sort out the answer for myself,'" Fergusson said. That story is not actually told by us. Nonlinearity is allowed in our story, but there is a story. We needed to have a start, center, and end. We needed to start at a specific location and finish there."
He stated that Diablo 4 is "to a greater degree a stretching story" and that players can select the order in which they participate in the game's key roles. They can play them in a different order for a completely different experience when they play it again. If you had to, you would most likely have many opportunities to work on other projects instead of just the basic story.
That is one advantage of the open world. Fergusson stated, "There are many side-quests and things available to you that are not listed on the gold path." Besides, the splendid way is actually a way that branches, and you are permitted to pick when and how to complete the branches.
