The artist previously worked on PlayStation's Uncharted series and for some reason, the fans to form a connection. However, Kozlowsky and Retro Studios were actually working on Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and when the game's official unveiling took place in the first place, a lot of Zelda fans trashed it because they were expecting something different. In a brand new interview with Kiwi Talkz, the Kiwi Talkz podcast, Kozlowsky exposed the source of the rumor that caused frustration for the developers.
"Sometimes it's difficult because it leads to false expectations. And I think that happened when we announced Tropical Freeze. People were like 'they're working on something like a Zelda game and they're working on a Zelda game', however, they were like 'nope!. We've just announced Tropical Freeze and it looks amazing and gorgeous and then people are like "oh, but it's just another Donkey Kong.'
And then you see that there are people slamming it on Diablo 2 Resurrected Items
or some other site and you're like 'oh man okay, well, everyone thought we were doing a Zelda game. But it's we don't do that. is happening.' So it's both funny at times. the situation, and sometimes it's irritating when it goes on for a way too long," said Kozlowsky.
