Hello. My child also had difficulties and in order to solve it, we found live online math on the internet and decided to use it. These courses explained to him topics that he didn't understand in...

If you plummet down to the depths of mathematics you get to the absolute fundamentals. However, this plummeting is not a free-fall plummet where you simply take a walk off an edge and fall - this is more like digging, and digging takes EFFORT, serious EFFORT and hard-work. Eventually, you get to the bottom and realize that everything your teachers taught you was worthless. It was based upon mere memorization with zero understanding whatsoever. You didn’t even know what addition was, you just did it, without knowing what you were doing. You realize that all you learnt was from teachers who just wanted to teach the new set of students, with zero incentive to care for their understanding, but an incentive to see them produce mediocre marks to ensure their standings as teachers. Finally, from ground-zero, you go upwards, at your own pace, and only through your own insight. Eventually you work your way up to advanced mathematics and now you have intuition, and an actual understanding with roots that descend to the bottom. No more do you now memorize equations, but actually know where they come from, for you can derive each one of them. But as a matter of practicality you memorize them (so you don’t have to re-derive equations from scratch on a timed examination)
